Kelly went to Clemson University, South Carolina after she graduated from high school. She graduated with an undergraduate degree as a Youth Development Leadership leader. Kelly was a part of the ACC Digital Network for her internship, and served as an assistant to the production team, after which she was offered an official job offer and was an integral part of the ACC Digital Networks. She began working as a reporter for sports-related news, while also doing interviews for the show "ACC Kickoff", aired on Saturdays. From 2012 until 2013, she was with the network for two years. Between 2012 and 2013 she also participated in "ACC NOW". Following her time with ACC Digital Network, she was hired as a Fox Sports Florida sideline reporter. Through her hard job, Fox Sports Sun recruited her to report on the Tampa Bay Rays', Orlando Magic's, and Tampa Bay Lightning franchises.
